The food is amazing and authentic! Unlike places in lakewood that are americanized, you can get authentic thai food. The lady is really nice and welcoming. And the inside of the shop is really clean and well put togather. This is my new favorite place!!! I can't wait to go back!
Situated in a quiet neighborhood, this restaurant is a hidden jewel. We were greeted by warm smiles. The dining room was clean and bright. Menu choices were plenty. I was very impressed with the Tom Kha soup, which comes with choice of white or brown rice.
We had the best food and the service was amazing! We even ordered takeout after our meal to take to the rest of the family at home! We look forward to going back as soon as we can!
Absolutely love Chaya Thai ! This is our go-to spot for Thai food in Tacoma . We've tried nearly half the entire menu and are always satisfied after the meal !!! If you ever have a chance, order some of their delicious crab rangoons ! There is literally no place that does them better than here . Also the owner here runs the entire operation solo and is incredibly sweet ! We love her food and supporting her business !!
The service at this restaurant is great and everything most of the reviewers here say it is. It is a small restaurant run by a very kind lady. She was very attentive to my needs, even making sure to bring me a glass of water while I waited for my to-go order. The food was cooked quickly and tasted great. The dining area, though small, was clean and full of natural light. I noticed there was a high chair available at the far side of the dining room. I look forward to coming here again!
Tried this place for the first time tonight. My wife had the sriracha spicy noodles which were amazing. I had pad see ew which was pretty good though I think green onion would make it perfect. Some places make the pad see ew very sweet and Chaya's was not...just perfectly savory.
This has been my recent go to place for Thai food. The service is amazing, the lady that runs it all is so friendly, kind, and truly cares about what she does. I tend to stick to Chicken Pad Thai and will ask for special things like extra green onion and it is always delicious. It’s nice to regularly go somewhere and be remembered too. It’s a cute small restaurant that is perfect for a cozy casual meal. It’s also nice to just take to go as the service is prompt. I’ve tried other things on the menu all of which are good too.
First time here. GPS took me here but got lost a little because there is no sign outside. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the owner I assume. She was very very friendly and welcoming. They have a great looking menu. I got cashew chicken lunch special and spring rolls. Super tasty. I like the portion sizes and the prices are affordable.
